2009 Conference

Yes, it's coming around again! For those of you who like to plan well ahead, the 2009 Conference will be held in the Swan Valley at The Novotel Swan Valley Vines Resort, Verdelho Drive, The Vines.

• Conference dates: Thursday 13th and Friday 14th August 2009
• Conference Dinner: Thursday night, 13th August 2009 at the Resort
• AGM: Friday, 14th August 2009 at the Resort
• Golf Day: Wednesday 12th August 2009

The WALGSA Annual Scholarships

The W.A. Local Government Supervisors Association has pleasure in announcing that it is sponsoring two new scholarships, to enable promising local government staff to attend the Annual State Conference in 2009.

The WALGSA Annual Scholarships will enable a local government staff member from, ideally, both a country shire and a metropolitan shire, to attend the WA Annual State Conference, wherever it is held.

However, if it is deemed that there are two outstanding country entrants or two outstanding metropolitan entrants, the scholarships will be awarded accordingly.

The Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Manager Infrastructure or those in a similar management position, are requested to promote these scholarships to members of their staff, and to nominate appropriate staff members by the due closing date.

Please note: these scholarships are not open to current Supervisors or Managers.
